We are proud of our tradition and the successful company that has emerged from it. When Gerhard Mewes, over 40 years ago, designed and built his first Capping machine in his garage at Wolfsheim in Rhein Hessen, the future of MEWES GmbH was still uncertain - except for his vision, which he unswervingly implemented. From the beginning, the focus was on the development of need-based and efficient product innovations.

Soon afterwards, with only a few employees, the production in their own factory at the Wolfsheimer site, was in full flow; Already at the beginning of the 1980s, Gerhard Mewes expanded the product portfolio with Filling and Sorting machines. As an inspiration and a leading innovator in the industry, he consistently developed his systems in the direction of increased technical performance and automation. Thus, began the continuous growth of MEWES GmbH, which still has a considerate potential for growth:
